Welcome to GLP101. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and HealthTales, LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company doing business as GLP101 ("HealthTales," "GLP101," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your use of the GLP101 website at glp-101.com, the GLP101 app, our lessons, tools, community, live experiences, newsletters, and any content we make available through third-party AI assistants (collectively, the "Services").
Please read these Terms carefully. They include an automatic renewal provision (Section 6), a binding arbitration agreement and class action waiver (Section 17), and limits on our liability (Section 15).
By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, and our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which are part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
GLP101 is a digital education company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We help adults understand GLP-1 medications, weight management, and related lifestyle topics through lessons, tools, and community.
We are not a healthcare provider, pharmacy, pharmaceutical company, or telehealth platform. We do not prescribe, sell, or dispense medications, and we do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
All content in the Services, including lessons, videos, articles, downloads, tools, live sessions, expert and clinician content, community posts, and content surfaced through AI assistants, is for general educational and informational purposes only.
Our content is not a substitute for advice from your physician or another qualified healthcare professional. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting, changing, or stopping any medication, diet, exercise program, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you learned through the Services.
Some of our content is reviewed by licensed clinicians, such as physicians and registered dietitians. That review is for educational accuracy and does not create a provider-patient relationship between you and any clinician, expert, or HealthTales.
The Services are not designed for emergencies. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account or subscribe. The Services are intended for individuals located in the United States.
When you create an account, you agree to:
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You may sign in using a third-party account, such as Google, in which case that provider's terms also apply to the sign-in.
Your subscription gives you access to the features of your plan for as long as your subscription is active and paid. Some content may be available for free, and some features may be available only on certain plans.
We regularly add, update, and retire lessons, tools, and features to reflect current research, compliance requirements, and product improvements. If we materially reduce the core features of your paid plan, we will notify you, and you may cancel as described in Section 6.
6.1 Plans and prices. We offer a monthly subscription and an annual subscription. Current prices are $14.99 per month and $99 per year, plus any applicable taxes. The price, billing frequency, and plan features are shown at checkout before you subscribe.
6.2 Automatic renewal. YOUR SUBSCRIPTION RENEWS AUTOMATICALLY AT THE END OF EACH BILLING PERIOD (MONTHLY OR ANNUALLY) FOR THE SAME PERIOD LENGTH, AT THE THEN-CURRENT PRICE, UNTIL YOU CANCEL. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor, Stripe, to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period. We will ask for your express consent to these automatic renewal terms at checkout, and we will send you a confirmation email with these terms and instructions for cancelling.
6.3 Annual renewal reminders. For annual subscriptions, we will email you a reminder before each renewal that includes the renewal date, the amount to be charged, and how to cancel.
6.4 Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will email you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect for your subscription, along with instructions for cancelling. If you do not cancel before the change takes effect, the new price will apply starting with your next renewal.
6.5 How to cancel. You can cancel at any time by going to Account Settings, then Subscription, then Cancel Subscription, or by emailing support@healthtales.co. Cancellation stops future renewals. Your access continues through the end of your current paid billing period. We will not use unfair tactics to delay or discourage your cancellation.
6.6 Refunds. Refunds are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy. Except as stated in that policy or required by law, payments are non-refundable.
6.7 Payment information and failed payments. You must provide a valid payment method. If a payment fails, we or Stripe may retry the charge, and we may suspend access to paid features until payment is received. You are responsible for keeping your payment information current.
6.8 Free trials and promotions. If we offer a free trial or promotional price, the terms will be clearly shown at signup, including the date paid billing begins and the regular price. Unless you cancel before the trial or promotion ends, your subscription will convert to a paid subscription at the price disclosed, and you authorize that charge.
6.9 Plan changes. If you switch between monthly and annual plans, we will explain the timing and any charge or credit before you confirm the change.
6.10 Taxes. Prices do not include applicable taxes unless stated. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.
The Services include community features, such as messaging and discussion with other members, and live experiences with experts and thought leaders.
7.1 Community guidelines. When using community features, you agree not to:
7.2 Visibility. Content you post in community spaces can be seen by other members. Do not share health or personal information you want to keep private. Other members are not healthcare professionals speaking on our behalf, and we do not endorse member content.
7.3 Moderation. We may review, remove, or restrict content, and suspend or terminate accounts, at our discretion, including for violating these guidelines. We are not obligated to monitor all content.
7.4 Live experiences. Live sessions are educational. Guest experts and clinicians share general information and do not provide individual medical advice. If a session will be recorded, we will tell you before or at the start of the session.
"Your Content" means anything you submit through the Services, such as community posts, messages, comments, questions, and feedback. You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content only as needed to operate, provide, and improve the Services. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies other members have already received, content retained in backups for a limited period, or content we must keep by law.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the right to post it.
We make GLP101 educational content available through supported third-party AI assistants and connectors. When you use GLP101 through a third-party AI assistant:
The Services and all content, including lessons, videos, text, graphics, tools, branding, and design, are owned by HealthTales or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your own non-commercial, educational purposes.
You may not copy, download (except where we offer a download feature), share, resell, record, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display our content, or use it to train artificial intelligence models, without our written permission.
"GLP101," "GLP-101," and "HealthTales" are our trademarks. Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, and other medication names are trademarks of their respective owners. GLP101 is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any medication manufacturer.
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, email support@healthtales.co with the subject "Copyright Notice." Please include: your contact information; a description of the copyrighted work; the location of the allegedly infringing material; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We may remove content and terminate repeat infringers.
You agree not to:
The Services may include links to or integrations with third-party websites and services, such as Stripe, Google sign-in, video hosting, and AI assistants. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, functionality, or privacy practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY HEALTH, WEIGHT-LOSS, OR OTHER RESULTS, OR THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH DECISIONS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HEALTHTALES AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, CLINICIAN REVIEWERS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HealthTales from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from Your Content, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
17.1 Informal resolution. Before starting arbitration or a claim, you agree to email support@healthtales.co with a description of your dispute and to try to resolve it informally for at least 30 days. We agree to do the same.
17.2 Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and HealthTales agree that any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this Section. The arbitration may be conducted by video, phone, or written submissions, or in person in Hennepin County, Minnesota, or the county where you live. For claims you bring, we will pay AAA filing, administration, and arbitrator fees beyond the amount you would pay to file a claim in court.
17.3 Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Either party may seek court relief for intellectual property infringement or misuse.
17.4 Class action waiver. YOU AND HEALTHTALES AGREE THAT CLAIMS MAY BE BROUGHT ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or award relief to anyone other than the individual party.
17.5 Mass arbitration. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed by or with the help of the same law firm or coordinated group, the demands will be administered in batches under the AAA's mass arbitration procedures, and the parties agree to cooperate to resolve them efficiently.
17.6 Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@healthtales.co within 30 days after you first accept these Terms, with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your name and account email. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
17.7 Court venue. If this arbitration agreement does not apply or is found unenforceable, disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim will be decided by a court and not in arbitration.
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription, so please cancel your subscription first.
We may update these Terms as our Services, business, or legal obligations change. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. If you do not agree to the changes, you may cancel before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. Changes to Section 17 will not apply to disputes that arose before the change.
